Gorleston, if you don’t know it, was a favoured seaside resort from Edwardian times and, unlike so may resorts, has enjoyed a renaissance in the past ten years or so. Its high street and Bells Road areas have regenerated and the seafront itself is busy all year round, with free parking, an understated elegance and a golden beach that stretches south for miles.
